Arrival of our new Interns

The White Rose Brussels office is delighted to welcome our three new Interns Tom, Rohan and Joe.

The interns have been spending the last four weeks in Yorkshire working with and meeting our key partners across the three universities and learning the relevant skills and information for their roles.

A little about our interns:

Tom has recently completed his Masters degree in Political Communications from the University of Leeds and grew up in York. Tom’s interests include History, Media and Politics as well as being a keen cricketer.

Joe Ballard – Joe is one of the two policy interns in the office. Along with Rohan, he is responsible for monitoring key EU policy areas, producing policy briefs and engaging with key Brussels stakeholders. Joe graduated from the University of York in Politics and International Relations and has a keen interest in Britain’s future relationship with the EU. He also enjoys hiking, running and cycling.

Rohan Roy – Rohan graduated from the University of Sheffield in the summer of 2017, having studied Politics and International Relations. He is now a policy intern at the WRB, a dynamic role that involves many activities that serve the interests of the three universities in Yorkshire. Primarily, he will be promoting the academic work of the three universities in Brussels, fostering connections between them and key European stakeholders. As well as politics and current affairs, Rohan’s interests include climbing, cycling and music.
